Time Bank Canada is a grassroots initiative established as a nonprofit community federal registration organization based in Vancouver, BC, in December 2025. Inspired by the global Time Banking movement and grounded in the values of solidarity, mutual aid, and cultural dignity, our mission is to build a local network where people exchange services using time, not money, as currency.
The idea is simple: one hour of service you provide earns you one time credit, which you can use to receive help from another member. Whether it’s language tutoring, elder care, tech support, cooking, or gardening, every skill and hour shared is equally valued.
Our founding team, community activists, entrepreneurs, and experienced organizers, believe that everyone has something meaningful to offer. Time Banking builds trust, fosters connections, and helps create a more inclusive, supportive, and resilient society.
By building on commitment to cultural education, social support, and civic engagement within the Iranian-Canadian community, we now open the door for all individuals, regardless of background, to participate in a vibrant, volunteer-based system of mutual care and contribution.
